Portrait of Bobbi-Jo Corbett

Hi, I'm Bobbi-Jo Corbett.

Registered in 2018, I’ve been an RMT for nearly 6 years. My passion for scar and post surgical care truly goes back to childhood, watching my mom go through a very slow recovery after an ACL repair, but came to light while in school. While attending Algonquin College, I had the opportunity to do a placement at the Riverside Campus of The Ottawa Hospital in their outpatient rehab clinic. From this time I realized that I wanted to work in post surgical rehab.

Since graduating, I have gained experience in post surgical massage, spending a year treating patients 1-2 days after hernia surgery at Shouldice Hospital. In my other practice locations I have treated many scar based conditions including: post cesarean care, scars related to surgeries, oncology care, and physical trauma.

I aim to share my passion with anyone who will listen. I believe manual practitioners have a huge role to play in changing the landscape of post surgical care. I look forward to expanding the awareness of scar care and its vast implications on overall well being.
